Latex Mattresses versus Pocket Coil Mattresses

When considering between latex mattresses and pocket coil mattresses, it is important that buyers first find out the characteristics of each type. That being said, following are the descriptions for both latex and pocket coil mattress.

Latex-Based Mattress

The main attraction of latex is the fact that it is incredibly comfortable to sleep in. The surface dips down and molds perfectly to the body, ensuring that the pressure areas get the ultimate relaxation. The fact that they are also durable is an added bonus as users wouldn’t have to worry about replacing them for the next twenty years or so. Even better, latex is resistant to dust mites, making it the perfect choice for people with allergies. This hypoallergenic material is also capable of resisting fires for additional safety. The material also works well under any weather as the surface feels cooler during warm weather and colder during high temperatures.

Pocket Coil Mattress

The pocket coil mattress is a variant of the regular coil mattress. What’s great about this is that each coil is contained in its own specific pocket, therefore providing a firmer surface and therefore better sleeping possibilities. The addition of the pockets actually increases the durability of the bed not to mention provides better support for users.

All in all, both pocket coil and latex bed types are great options. However, choosing between the two usually means evaluating the needs of the buyer in order to figure out the best bed that fits their needs. For those who want something that will literally hug their body, the latex option would be the best bet. However, those who are hoping for support can opt for the pocket oil type. Note though that in terms of durability, the latex is superior but the pocket coil option comes in a cheaper price.
